JESSICA SNYMAN
My Slogan: Health. Strength. Purpose. These powerful words encapsulates what and how I want to teach, to inspire, and to motivate my future clients out there.
I have always been an active person throughout my school years and continued my fitness journey in 2011 by qualifying to become a Yoga Teacher and Pilates Instructor. I qualified in the traditional Hatha Yoga Style and traditional Mat Pilates. My fitness journey has continued to qualify and teach Reformer Pilates, Restorative Yoga Therapy, Body Conditioning and Aerobics. I have also been given the opportunity to become a Group Exercise Instructor at Virgin Active Gyms over the last few years in Pretoria and Johannesburg where I have grown as a teacher.
I believe that we need to not only nurture our body but build a healthy mindset to reach our future fitness goals.
I have the leadership drive, the knowledge and enthusiasm to apply the correct techniques, allow exercise modifications and injury prevention to build a stronger mind and body.
I want each and every person to commit to their own long-term health and fitness goals.

RESTORATIVE YOGA CLASSES
BENEFITS OF RESTORATIVE YOGA
- Restorative Yoga is a practice that encourages slowing down and opening one’s body through passive stretches.
- The classes are slow paced, and movement is gentle with long holds in postures while the body is always fully supported by various props to allow the muscles to relax and soften. Only a few postures done in the class.
- The muscles of the body always remain relaxed, no straining of the body.
- Wonderful practice to strengthen, de-stress, sooth the nervous system, enhance your mood, improve sleep, and reduce chronic pain.
- Relax your mind and body to Just Be within oneself to heal.

We met Jessica at Kyalami Virgin Active a few years ago and we've joined both her Pilates and Yoga classes ever since. What we've loved about Jessica's style of Pilates and Yoga is that no class is ever the same. She is constantly innovating and trying new ideas out and we have never been bored with the repetition or predictability of the class.
She has the teacher’s knack for explaining things clearly, is able to push people further than they would naturally like to go but not far enough to be a problem and she does this with a very friendly and clear speaking voice and teaching style. I had the pleasure of working with Jessica for a year and a half. During that time, Jessica used to teach a 6pm Pilates class every Wednesday, on a weekly basis. Jessica is a brilliant instructor and overall, a well-rounded individual.
She was also the club's top performing group exercise instructor, as she had the highest-performing class overall.
I believe that Jessica will add value to any company or institution that she works at.
She is a true expert in her field and teachers from her heart. What I loved most was the authenticity she maintained during our yoga sessions. Her classes were filled with love, power, and deep relaxation. I would leave her class so energised ready to conquer the world.
Another unique trait that Jessica has is her warm and caring nature which is exhibited from the very moment we enter the Yoga and Pilates Studio. She would be waiting at the entrance with a beautiful bubbly smile welcoming all of us. This to me is most admirable.

She is extremely knowledgeable in her field and makes you feel that you are the most important trainee in the class. Since I attended her classes I have never been bored or got the impression that it was just another class that she gave. Each class presented was with passion and there was always something specially arranged in each training session.
Jessica would deal with each person while she was giving her class to make sure they were comfortable and that the movements are done correctly. She would encourage every person in the class to try new positions and to challenge them to reach the next level.
Jessica's classes were energetic but also calm and relaxing. After each session she will end with a cooling period of at least 5 minutes to clear the mind and let the stress of the day fade away. Jessica is very gifted and makes you feel at peace, and you know when you walk out the class you had a great workout.
After each class Jessica always personally thanked each person for attending the class and ended the class by saying “may you give thanks to your body for what it has done for you today and thank you for allowing me to give you this class.” That always stood out to me, it made you feel special and appreciated. She also personally greeted each person before they arrived in the class and when they walked out after their workout session.
I can with honesty recommend Jessica as a highly qualified instructor and her one-on-one personal connection with each person made you feel acknowledged.
She would be an amazing personal trainer.
